We are currently developing The Synergy Centre in Bristol, a permanent trusted community space where black women are heard, supported and empowered throughout one of the most important times in their lives, allowing families to access the culturally sensitive connection and guidance often lacking in many health services.
Supporting Black Women through pregnancy, birth and motherhood
Synergy is a Bristol-based organisation working to improve maternal experiences and outcomes for Black women and families. We provide advocacy, emotional support and culturally responsive care throughout pregnancy and all stages of parenthood.

Too many Black women in the UK still report not being listened to, supported, or taken seriously during maternity care. Synergy exists to help change that by bridging the gap between maternal health services and the black mothers who depend on them.

We are currently developing The Synergy Centre in Bristol, a trusted community space where women feel heard, supported and empowered throughout one of the most important times in their lives, and families can access the support, connection and guidance they need.
Synergy provides support to Black women and families through three core pillars:
